Celebration
of the Day of St. Jadwiga Queen
8 June
2003
On 8
June 2003, during a solemn Mass celebrated in the Catholic
church in Richmond (Melbourne, Australia)
Fr L. Ryba preached very beautiful and touching sermon on St. Jadwiga
Queen. During the Mass, Queen Jadwiga’s picture was displayed and at the
end of the Mass all people gathered in the church prayed with the words
„St. Jadwiga Queen pray for us”. It was very moving moment which will be
remembered by us for ever.
Every year, from the initiative of the Queen
Jadwiga Foundation, the altar in Wawel Cathedral (Krakow, Poland)
is decorated with bouquets of red roses.
