New initiative - collecting 'Queen Jadwiga's little
pearls' Inspired by the activities of our Patron St Jadwiga Queen, we have decided to make a replica of racjonal which was made of little pearls (see picture above). It is said that racjonal was designed and most probably partly made in person by Queen Jadwiga. Krakow Bishops received racjonal from Queen Jadwiga as a gift. It seems of great importance that it was Krakow Bishop Karol Wojtyla, who had worn racjonal during Easter time and who was called to Vatican to become a Bishop of Rome and the first Pope of Polish origin. Little pearls collected in order to make a replica of racjonal, will be also the way of expressing gratitude to St Jadwiga for the John Paul II pontificate. Each collected 'Queen Jadwiga's little pearl' intends to symbolize a contribution to the cultural works which were inspired by St Jadwiga's activities. Everyone, primary, secondary and/or university student, academic, musician, painter, writer, poet can take part in collecting little pearls. QUEEN
